Experience Undergraduate Research Assistant, University of South Alabama
The overall goal of the research was to identify chemical structures that would
increase the solubility of ionic liquids in nonpolar solutions. Possible applications for
ionic liquids the University is looking at included CO2 capture, batteries, and
lubricants in space.
Measured thermophysical properties (density, viscosity, etc.) of novel ionic liquids
Followed procedures designed to eliminate error in the measurements and ensure
the quality of the sample
Correlated thermophysical property data
Assisted in the development of a cloud point liquid/liquid equilibria measurement
apparatus and then measured and modeled said equilibria
Security Personnel/Guest Ambassador, Gulf Shores Rentals
I answered guest’s questions, addressed concerns, patrolled the property to ensure
safety and rule enforcement in a friendly manner, and completed required
documentation and paperwork. My goal was to ensure that guests had a fun, positive
experience by seeing that rules established for the benefit of all were enforced.
Food Runner, Newk’s Eatery, Spanish Fort Alabama
I bring food to guests, ensure that they have everything they need, are having a
pleasurable time, and attempt to address any concerns they may have. I also ensure
that various items remain adequately stocked.
