Engineering Associate I- Thompson Engineering, Mobile, AL, 2016-Present
Mobile Bay National Estuary Program, Weeks Bay Watershed Management Plan, Baldwin
County, AL, 2016 – Thompson Engineering devised a conceptual plan to guide watershed resource
managers, policy makers, community organizations and citizens to protect the chemical, biological, and
culture integrity of the Weeks Bay watershed. I assisted in extensive research efforts,community
outreach and public involvement, document preparations, and field surveys.
Aker Subsea Inc., and AAA Cooper Transportation Spill Prevention & Contingency Plans ,
Mobile, AL,2016 – prepared spills plans for bulk storage facilities, including engineering measures to
prevent an oil spill and control remedies in case of a spill.
Utility Services, LLC, Water and Wastewater, Ocean Springs, MS –evaluated the design and
performance of various Wastewater Treatment Facilities (WWTF) in accordance with Mississippi
Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) and Ten States Standards and recommended corrective
strategies in case of non-conformance to develop Comprehensive Performance Evaluation
(CPE)/Composite Correction Plans (CCP). Also prepared Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) Control Program
for Utility Services.
Jackson County Utility Authority (JCUA), Water and Wastewater, MS – strategized a Pretreatment
Program for JCUA based on analysis of Discharge Monitoring Reports using Excel. A Toxicity
Reduction Evaluation Plan was developed to help JCUA’s Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF)
meet the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) standards and the MDEQ
standards.
Small Stream Litter Collection System – Thompson Engineering employees formed a collective task
force to design and develop a small, economical litter collection system for various locations around
Mobile County, AL. Numerous site visits were conducted along with field trial runs and litter pick up
days. The team met severaltimes to brainstorm potential designs and funding possibilities.
Alabama Power Company, Wetlands and Endangered Spices Surveys – wetland
delineation/marking, GPS location, and endangered species surveys on severalmiles of ROW. Most of
the ROW surveys were on existing powerlines, but some surveys were for new powerline alignments
and included more detailed stream assessments and wetland functional analyses (WRAP analysis).
Alabama Army National Guard, Invasive Species Survey and Management Plan for Fort
McClellan Training Center, Calhoun County, AL, 2016 – assisted in conducting field surveys for
non-native and endangered species and report preparation for the approximate 23,000 acres within the
Fort McClellan Army National Guard Training Center.
The Peninsula ofMobile, Bay Furniture LowImpact Development (LID) Demonstration Project
Proposal, 2016 - purpose to implement a retro-fit LID Demonstration project at Bay Furniture and
Appliance 3311 Dauphin Island Parkway. Extensive research was done to analyze the feasibility of
conducting different LID practices in the area.
