2. 1 EXT. BRIDGE 1
Leonard is sitting on the edge of the bridge, facing
the road while his feet are swinging in the air. His
clothes and pants are dirty and wrinkled. Shoes are worn
with holes in them.
CUT TO:
2 INT. LEONARD’S ROOM 2
Leonard has slept through the whole morning and afternoon.
The clock has shown that it is now already 3:15 p.m. and
he is still lying on the bed. The sound of the ringtone
keeps going and going. The atmosphere is dark but sunlight
slips through from the edge of the curtain. One of his
friends keeps calling him while Leonard does not have an
intention to stop the ringtone going. He is calmly
starring up to the ceiling with his eyes completely open.
CUT TO:
He looks on his phone that located on the table, there is
a bunch of notifications. He pulls down the notification
bar, and it shows "Luna has called you 54 times." and
"CMNS 3450 at 16:00." The table is messy, there is a
laptop, mouse, alcohol bottle, paper, university
assignment, tissue paper, and most importantly there is a
bottle of pills(medication). Leonard searches for the
pills, he grabs it, looks at it and then put them into his
pant’s left pocket.
CUT TO:
3 EXT. OUTSIDE LEONARD’S HOUSE 3
Leonard comes out of his house, he walks toward his limo.
His driver opens the back door for him to get on. Limo
drives off.
CUT TO:
4 EXT. TUNNEL 4
He gets out of the limo and then starts to walk towards
the university. While he is inside the tunnel, the
atmosphere is dark and wet. The sun is shining inside
through the exit of the tunnel. Leonard suddenly kneels
down and starts crying. He is crying so hopelessly and the
sound of his crying is echoed within the tunnel. He
frantically starts to search every pocket of his jacket
and pants. He forgot where he put them. He starts to freak
out. cries louder and louder. Finally, he feels the pills
from his pant’s left pocket. He takes it out with his
shaky hands and chucks multiple pills into his mouth and
hard swallows it without any water.

After a while, he begins to stop crying but is still
kneeling down on the ground. The sound of the echo becomes
softer and softer and at last, it is all gone. The sound
gradually becomes bird singing, wind blowing, and the
humming from Leonard. Leonard stands up and starts walking
outside the tunnel. He is now in a happy and promising
mood. He jumps and skips while he is walking. After he
passes the tunnel, his sweeps and touches the tall grass
with his hands and he looks up to the sky with a big smile
on his face.
CUT TO:
5 EXT. UNIVERSITY 5
Leonard is walking through the university to get to his
class. He then walks through a crowded where everyone
tries to get to their class. He loves the energy from all
those people, he feels energetic and walks by them with
confidence with a smile on his .
CUT TO:
He opens the lecture door and goes inside.
CUT TO:
He comes out from the lecture room 2 hours later. Everyone
is leaving their classrooms. He walks through the same
location where it was crowded before class. It is still
crowded. But this time, his facial expression has changed.
There is no more smile left on his face, he feels unhappy,
depressed and frustrated. He stands still in the middle of
the crowd. He is scared. He starts searching all his
pocket for his earphone. He finally finds that in his
pant’s right pocket. He takes it out and quickly plugs
them in his phone and both ears whilst his hands are
shaking. He searches and plays the playlist called "Get me
out of this world". As soon as he presses the play button,
the crowd slowly disappears until no one is left. Then he
starts walking the way back to the tunnel and to his limo.
FADE OUT: MERGE WITH HIM WALKING INSIDE HIS HOUSE
6 INT. LEONARD’S KITCHEN AND DINING AREA 6
Leonard takes a bunch of ingredients from the fridge.
There is prawn, squid, minced pork, etc. Also, he takes
out rice, soy sauce, salt, sugar, etc from the cupboard.
He starts preparing his dinner. The sound of chopping,
cutting, water running from the tap and washing of
ingredients. While he is finely chopping up garlic, it
shows that there are scars on his left wrist and imagines
hurting himself.
Leonard stops chopping the garlic and slowly points the
knife towards his left wrist. He places the sharpest point
of the knife on his left wrist.

SHARP CUT TO: COMPLETE RED SCENE
Back to his preparation, he shakes his head and starts to
cook. The sounds of water bubbling, the chemical
interaction between the oil and the ingredients, spatula
stir-fries in the pan. He pan-flips, food throws up into
the air and smoothly drops back into the pan. Suddenly, he
stands still and stops what he’s doing. He stares at the
wall and jumps to his imagination.
The sounds of a gas leak. Leonard turns off the flame but
leaves the gas on. He takes a lighter out from his pocket.
He leans on the stove and starts playing with the lighter.
He strikes a fire and let it out again and again. He
smiles while playing with the lighter.
SHARP CUT TO: FLASHLIGHT
The sounds of him cooking. He finishes his cooking and
starts dishing up. He sprinkles some freshly chopped green
onion on top of his dish and cleans up the edge of the
plate with a paper towel. He smiles at the dish and places
it on the place-mat with knife and fork placed beside the
dish. He then walks away and sits on the couch facing the
television. He turns on the television and there is no
signal on it. The sound of the white noise keeps going.
Leonard stares at the television with no facial expression
while the dish is still on the table with smoke rises up
to the bottom of the light.
After a while, Leonard leaves the television on and stands
up. He walks to the table and grabs the plate and carries
it to the kitchen. He opens up the rubbish bin and sweeps
the whole dish into the bin.
7 INT. LEONARD’S BATHROOM 7
Leonard starts to take off his clothes. He looks in the
mirror with no smile and a blank facial expression. He
pulls out the scales that’s located under the sink. He
stands on it and it shows 48kg. He looks in the mirror
again while standing on the scales. He smiles this time
and feels satisfied.
He then walks to the shower cubicle and turns on the
water. He stands inside and closes the door. Water falls
on top of his head. He rubs his face with both hands and
starts to cry. He squats down and lets the water slap on
his head. A while later, he stands up and starts banging
his head on the wall. Sounds with him banging on the wall
is soft at first and it increases gradually. He starts to
bang his head harder and harder and the sounds of him
banging create an echo inside the shower cubicle. He then
screams loudly.
CUT TO:
5. 4.
8 INT. LEONARD’S KITCHEN 8
Leonard walks into the kitchen and grabs a bottle of vodka
and a glass from the cupboard. Then he takes a block of
ice out and puts a couple of them into the glass. He pours
a quarter glass of vodka inside the glass. He looks at the
glass through the light and he puts the glass down on the
bench. He leaves the glass in the kitchen and then takes
the whole bottle of vodka back to his room.
CUT TO:
9 INT. LEONARD’S ROOM 9
Leonard turns the light off and leaves the bedside lamp
on. He sits on his bed and starts drinking from the
bottle.
CUT TO:
He finishes the whole bottle at last. He then turns off
the bedside lamp and lays on the bed. He keeps rolling and
changing his laying position. Leonard cannot fall asleep.
His eyes are open all night.
Sun dawns, sunlight is coming through both side of the
curtain. The room is getting brighter. Leonard closes his
eye for once.
SMOOTH CUT TO:
10 EXT. BRIDGE - RAINY DAY 10
Leonard starts to stand up. His bottom leaves the edge of
the bridge.
FADE TO BLACK
