Derwent World Patents Index®
Chemistry Resource is the ideal database for finding specific chemical
compounds within Derwent World Patents Index records.
It offers simple, easy access to the Derwent World Patents Index bibliographic
database and enables retrieval of Derwent World Patents Index bibliographic
documents back to 1981. For further information on searching the Derwent
World Patents Index backfile by structure, we link to:
www.stn-international.de/archive/stnews/news0602.pdf. Chemistry Resource
is available in the following STN files: WPINDEX, WPIDS, and WPIX.
Before running an actual search, Chemistry Resource allows users to conduct
a sample search at no cost to estimate the number of hits they will get from
the search.
Chemistry Resource numbers, which are unique identifiers for specific chemical
compounds, form the link between Chemistry Resource and the corresponding
bibliographic indexing in Derwent WPI. The numbers comprise a system of
identifiers, as shown on the back of this sheet.
