3. The reason why I have chosen Alternative as the genre to
base my A2 media work around is because I have a strong
liking for the genre itself, and am a fan of many
Alternative artists.
Another primary reason for behind my decision is the fact
that the Alternative genre, in terms of creativity offers a
much wider pool to draw from than many other
conventional genres. This is mostly because the
Alternative genre itself is comprised of several
subdivisions, Alternative rock, Alternative metal etc. The
one defining characteristic of the genre is the fact that
the Alternative genre challenges the already established
genre conventions and often brings a harder, more gritty
approach to the world of music.
This gives the genre multiple choices in terms of what I
will base my music video on.
