dress. Students in violation of
LCSC dress code will be sent to
the nurse for alternative
clothing.

7. Students in 4th grade have nightly homework
in Math and/or Reading. They should have
homework completed when they walk into
class each morning. Failure to complete
homework will result in a consequence of
filling a missing work sheet that parents need
to sign. Parents will decide if student should
complete missing work at home or during the
student’s recess.

8. We follow the Harney HOUSE
expectations. Have respect, On task
always, Use safety first, Show your
personal best, and Everyone takes
responsibility. Behavior that is
excessively disruptive or dangerous
will be referred to administration in
the office.

12. Dismissal begins at 3:45 each day.
Throughout the year, we will see
some changes for dismissal as we
deal with construction issues. Please

updates.

15. • May my student bring in birthday treats?
Yes, treats must be store-bought, pre-packaged, and nut-free. They must be healthy
and not sugary. Must be single serve. Any drinks must be single-served, not poured,
and can be juice or water. Napkins or a roll of paper towel would be helpful! The
teacher will determine the best time of day to pass out treats.
• When will my student’s teacher respond to
my message?
During the school day, your student’s teacher is actively involved in classroom
activities. We will respond to all messages within a timely manner. However, our
workday ends at 4:00 so we will sometimes reply the next day. We appreciate your
understanding, as at times we are hurrying out the door to make it to an appointment
or family event.
