 Addition is when you add numbers together. The plus
sign (+) is used to let you know you need to add.

2 hats + 1 hat = 3 hats

4. Subtraction
 Subtraction is when you take away
from the given number. The minus sign
(-) is used to denote this. Let’s watch
some strategies you can use to
subtract

5-3=2

 Fact families are groups of numbers that
are related to each other and can be
combined to make addition and
subtraction facts. Let’s watch how a fact
family works through this song! Click on
