1. User Centered Design
Users will be presented with a uniform, well organized website design.
From the home page of the website, users will be able to access different sections and will be
presented with most of the information that the website has to provide such as New Releases
(Video or Written), Articles by Go-Jamaica’s authors and editors (or even by guess bloggers),
forums, Job Openings (from Jobsmart) and of course, advertisements from advertisers.
To access or unlock some features of the website such as the ability to comment on articles/news
or the ability to participate in forums, a user must first be registered and logged into the website.
Registration and login will be made very simple, through easy email verification and even easier
through social media integration – visitors will have the option of registering and logging into
the website via social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn, etc.
Advertisements on the website are strategically placed so that they grab the attention of viewers
while not being obtrusive or annoying.
Contacting Go Jamaica will now be made very simply with the new design, users will be
provided with our address, telephone number and email address as well as they will be provided
with a contact form to contact Go Jamaica directly from the website. And for those visitors who
do not know how to find Go Jamaica by the physical address provided, they will be able to make
us of the map that has been placed on the contact page show the location of Go Jamaica and give
direction to it.
