In the US, 20,000+ infants die each year according
to CDC. Accidental suffocation is the leading cause.
The rates of (SIDS) have quadrupled in less than
25 years
Even if the infant survives from suffocation, there
can be side effects: apnea, limpness, cyanosis,
pallor, and brain damage.

We created SaveBB, a mobile app connected to
a wireless device that prevents SIDS by ensuring
that infants sleep face up on their backs.
The app monitors the infant’s movement and
detects when the baby in danger of suffocation.

6. THE PROCESS
Arduino coding with C++ and use of open source
projects
Microsoft Cloud and Azure Mobile App coded
with C# in Visual Studio
Cost of Hardware - Wemos(Wifi) $4,
Temp/Humidity Sensor: $3, Accelerometer $2
Mobile App and User Interface coded with C# and
Xamarin

The Arduino sensors receive position,
information and sends it to the cloud through
the Wemos Wifi board.
The mobile app reads the stored position data from
the cloud every 30 seconds and displays the
information on the main screen.
When the baby is in danger, the cloud
sends the parent a text. The parent can
then open the app to check in the baby's
vitals.

He “sleepdraws” gorgeous
