Contrast fits into a broad range of different environments.
Contrast explores tangible elements and structures found in these
environments. While randomly zooming in and out Contrast breaks
up well-known constructions to unite them in new ways, adding depth
and structure to the designs by playing with contrasts in size, shape
and colour.
Contrast presents an expressive range of designs from classic and
uniform to fresh and bold. By recolouring and combining designs and
colour variations, an individual and highly personal floorscape can be
created. Altogether making Contrast a breath of fresh air within carpet

Modular Express by ege
Recolour options
The Modular Express concept offers unique recolouring possibilities on each
design, allowing customers to create their very own colour expression. The
Contrast designs are presented in a broad range of standard colour combinations
and are recolourable in standard as well as in special colours, all with fast
sample delivery. When recolouring designs from the Contrast collection it is
recommended to follow the guidelines indicated in the catalogue for each
design. Emphasizing shadow, highlight and effect colours will ensure a quality
installation and bring out the special character of each design.
Flexible and functional
Modular Express is a flexible concept of 48 x 48 cm modular tiles that makes it
possible to adapt each room to the continuous changes a building goes through.
Tiles can be removed whenever needed to provide easy access to cables and
leads located in the floor underneath. This makes it easy to undertake repairs or
new installations without having to shut down an entire area.
The Modular Express concept is flexible and functional when it comes to
transportation, handling, installation and creating an individual design expression.
It is therefore the obvious flooring solution for many different environments and
segments, such as offices, shops, hotels, casinos and airports.
Improved working environment
In addition to improved acoustics, Modular Express ensures a healthy indoor
climate due to the 100 % textile modular backing without PVC, bitumen or
glass fibre scrims. The healthy indoor climate is underlined by the approval in
accordance with the Danish Indoor Climate Labelling scheme (DIM), serving as
a guarantee that Modular Express carpets ensure indoor climates which provide
optimal conditions for comfort and well-being.
Green profile
Modular Express tiles can be produced in a variety of loop and cut pile qualities
which are compliant to the very latest and most stringent standards for wear life
classification and long term appearance retention – EN 1307. Furthermore,
a number of environmental certificates such as BRE and LEED document the
environmental impact of Modular Express.

Some of the Contrast designs contain colours that are toned with a tiny texture in a tonal colour to obtain a vibrant,
nuanced look and to spice up larger solid areas in the designs.
This texture is illustrated as follows:
Main colours are shown with a large colour box (C1, C2 etc), whereas the corresponding tonal colours are shown
with a smaller colour box (T1, T2 etc).

Simply contact your ege customer care contact and explain your wishes. Subsequently, one or more suggestions on
print or sample will be prepared for you. We always recommend a sample of your chosen design, so you can experi-
ence the full richness of the different textures in the collection before actual order.
Example:
You like design Wood Weave RFM52956514, but prefer to see it in a green version, with GB6 and GB7 from
palette 5220 as dominant colours.
