2. ORANGE JOCKEY
This is a sport that is played with one orange, broomsticks and a jar.
The objective is to use the broomsticks to put the orange on the jar. The jar must be in a horizontal
position so the whole is towards the players.
I use 3 objects from my house because every one of them has a specific function.
The sport is divided in two teams, each team with two players. Each Player must have one broomstick.
The playing field is rectangular, but there is a smaller square inside the rectangle. Inside the square
there is a circle where the orange is located.
3. The players have to take position in every corner but in opposite from each other. Let’s make an
example with the RED TEAM and the BLUE TEAM
As I said before, each player has to take a broomstick and pull the orange into the jar. At the same time
the RED TEAM/ BLUE TEAM must not allowed the BLUE TEAM/RED TEAM to make a score, that is to say,
not to put the orange in the jar.
4. It is forbidden in this sport to use hands and feet to make a score. Only the contact between the orange
and the broomsticks are allowed.
Each time a player manages to put the orange in the jar wins a point for their team.
If any player touch the orange without the broomstick it is penalized with one point that is given to the
opposite team. This point is subtracted from the score of the team that committed the foul.
The duration of a game is 45 minutes that is divided in 3 turns of 15 minutes. The last 15 minutes of the
game define the winning team.
