THE SECRET BEHIND
THE NUMBERS
Domestic violence is no longer the secret
that is kept behind the closed doors of
your home. In fact, it’s affect has made its
way to schools and businesses worldwide.

paid work is lost in the US because of
domestic violence.” Between 2.3 and 10
million children are witnesses to family
violence. Studies have shown that this has
an effect on their social contributions to
society. Working together to provide an
environment free of abuse is everyone’s
responsibility.
Everyone has a role in prohibiting violence

What Remains to Be Done?
In order to reduce and eradicate domestic violence, it will take the
collective efforts of our communities and businesses. These ef-
forts take the form of educating current and potential victims and
perpetrators of the mental, physical, and economic effects of their
actions. It also includes assisting, empowering, uplifting, and ad-
vocating for victims whose voices are often ignored. Your role is
essential to the success of this mission.
