Netball SA is the peak State Sporting Organisation for netball in South Australia and is affiliated with Netball Australia.
Netball is the leading women's participation sport and top team based sport in Australia.Netball SA is responsible for the
governance, development, promotion and administration of netball throughout South Australia and has the responsibility for
servicing its 30,000 members, the operations of Netball SA Stadium and the running of its elite team, the Adelaide
Thunderbirds.
This role is responsible for the program and operational management of all Netball SA High Performance programs under
the strategic direction of the General Manager- High Performance. These programs include the Netball SA elite team, the
Adelaide Thunderbirds, and Netball SA representative teams - the Southern Force, State 21 & Under, State 19 & Under and
State 17 & Under. This role will also oversee the management of the State Premier Netball Competition by providing
direction and leadership to the Competitions Coordinator and other relevant staff as required.
Key responsibilities in this role cover four key areas:
Netball SA High Performance Programs
๏ท Drive the Netball SA High Performance Programs to achieve an integrated delivery model across all programs
Adelaide Thunderbirds
๏ท Oversee all operations of the Adelaide Thunderbirds including administration and logistics
ANZ Championship
๏ท Administration of the Adelaide Thunderbirds involvement in ANZ Championship including acting as primary liaison
between the Adelaide Thunderbirds and the ANZ Championship
State Premier Netball Competition (SPNC)
๏ท Oversee the management of the Subway Cup and other Netball SA competitions through the provision of direction
and leadership to the Competitions Coordinator
Ideally suiting individuals with strong background in Netball or experience in high performance within sport, it is expected
the successful applicant will offer outstanding organisational, relationship management and negotiation skills. Applicants
with formal qualifications in a relevant field will be highly regarded.

Position Scope:
The High Performance Program Manager is responsible for the program and operational management of all
Netball SA High Performance programs under the strategic direction of the General Manager - High
Performance. These programs include the Netball SA elite team, the Adelaide Thunderbirds, and Netball SA
representative teams - the Southern Force, State 21 & Under, State 19 & Under and State 17 & Under.
The High Performance Program Manager will also oversee the management of the State Premier Netball
Competition by providing direction and leadership to the Competitions Coordinator and other relevant staff

Key Areas of Responsibility:
1. Netball SA High Performance Programs
๏ท Drive the Netball SA High Performance Programs to achieve an integrated delivery model across all
programs, service providers and applied research.
๏ท Establish a comprehensive management framework of policies, processes and procedures that
ensures integrity and accountability in the delivery of the High Performance area.
๏ท Administer all phases of the Netball SA representative team programs including facilitation of team
staff appointments in collaboration with the relevant Netball SA and SASI Staff.
๏ท Under the strategic direction of the General Manager- High Performance, help deliver development
programs for identified Coaches.
๏ท Management of communication between Netball Australia and the Netball SA High Performance
programs.
๏ท Develop and implement tools and resources for the Netball SA High Performance pathway
programs.
2. Adelaide Thunderbirds
๏ท Manage all operations of the Adelaide Thunderbirds including team administration and logistics;
๏ท Preparation and management of the ThunderGuide โ the team policy and procedure manual;
๏ท Administer the Adelaide Thunderbirds staff appointments and contracts in consultation with the
CEO.
๏ท Management of the Wellbeing Coordinator/Leadership Facilitator and team Chaplain.
๏ท Enhance commercial opportunities for the Adelaide Thunderbirds in conjunction with the
Commercial Operations Manager and assist with the servicing sponsors
๏ท Oversee and coordinate all communication between Netball SA and the Adelaide Thunderbirds;
๏ท Provide operational assistance to the Head Coach as required;
๏ท Manage the Adelaide Thunderbirds budget;
๏ท Work closely with the Head Coach, Coaching staff and Team Manager on operational requirements;
๏ท Set-up and coordinate all training sessions as required by the Head Coach;
๏ท Support the Media Coordinator with player appearances for media
๏ท Support Commercial Operations Manager with player appearances for sponsors
๏ท Work closely with the CEO in all ANZ Championship management requirements
๏ท Build and maintain a close and collaborative working relationship with the TTNL and all ANZ Clubs
๏ท Build and maintain a close and collaborative working relationship with Netball Australia.
3. ANZ Championship
๏ท Administration of the Adelaide Thunderbirds involvement in ANZ Championship competition
including oversight of the rules, regulations, registrations and appeals, stakeholder communications
and management;
๏ท Management of the Competition Rules and coordination of the Team Participation Agreement and
Commercial Guidelines.
๏ท Liaison between the Adelaide Thunderbirds and the ANZ Championship
4. State Premier Netball Competition (SPNC)
๏ท Oversee the management of the SPNC and other Netball SA competitions through the provision of
direction and leadership to the Competitions Coordinator.
