2. TONE
• We will be going for a positive and joyful tone but we will be
keeping it informative to present Norfolk in a friendly,
upstanding place but we will also inform the potential
employees of what their job will entail and all benefits of
working at the James Paget Hospital and what it is like living
in the Norfolk area.
3. MESSAGE
• We are going to have a positive message which is mainly about coming to Norfolk and
joining the James Paget. We are going to contrast Norfolk in a positive light showing
various scenery around Norfolk and what it has to offer. Norfolk is a beautiful place
and we going to try to contrast that as much as we can to persuade the potential
employees
• It is also going to be revealed what James Paget University Hospital has to offer
differently to any other hospital, the answer to that is the area that surrounds and the
remarkable people making it a remarkable place to work
• We want the doctors to talk about why they got into medicine, when they joined the
James Paget, why they like the Norfolk area and various other questions
• “Our priority is ensuring that patients always come first and remain at the heart of
everything we do. We focus on high quality, safe and compassionate care, supporting
our growing elderly population and developing closer links with our health, social and
educational partners.” We plan to show this through the video to try and impress and
attract potential employees.
4. REPRESENTATION
• When making the video we will be trying to represent the staff at James Paget as hard
working individuals. We are going to ask various questions to Doctors and other staff
asking about the Norfolk area, what their job entails, about various medical
encounters, if they enjoy their jobs and what they think of the facilities. We also plan to
interview the Doctors what has been their biggest success in the profession and why
they decided to go into the profession.
5. AUDIENCE
• The audience we will be trying to appeal to will be looking to get employed as doctors
in the Norfolk area.
• To appeal to this audience we will be showing the benefits that working at the James
Paget can give anyone looking to get employed as a doctor can have.
6. THE VIDEO EXAMPLE SCENES.
Scene 1: Establishing shots of local area and hospital possibly with a voice-over, over the
top giving a small introduction into the area of the James Paget.
Scene 2: Walkthrough of hospital and include a time-lapse showing how busy and
important the hospital is to the local area.
Scene 3: Walk down corridor towards first interviewees office, making emphasis on
profession signs and name e.g. the name banners.
Scene 4: Zoom through door and cut/fade to black or open door. Sit down as if patient
and the interviewee talks into camera as if with patient.
