Alzheimer's disease is devastating and its prevalence is rising dramatically. There is now hope for breakthroughs in prevention and treatment through increased research funding. The Cure Alzheimer's Fund and Rotary are working together to accelerate research. CAF has identified over 100 Alzheimer's genes and mutations, gaining insights into the disease process. Their research suggests a multi-phase treatment approach may be possible to prevent amyloid buildup, slow tangle formation, and reduce inflammation at different stages. Increased support is still needed to drive this promising research over the finish line and find a cure.
