Netiquette
3. Here are just some online
netiquette that should
be followed:
4. Remember: You may be
talking to other humans
-When you are on your device, you don't always see a face and you may
forget that you are talking to another human. Always keep a level of
respect.
-Though faces cannot be seen and tone cannot be heard, remember to
think carefully about how you communicate with others online.
-It is common to misinterpret messages so keep an open mind and avoid
jumping into conclusions.
5. Respect privacy
-To ensure everyone's privacy online, one must avoid spreading valuable
information on the internet.
-Anything privately sent should be kept private. Recklessly sharing media
may harm the creator and would negatively affect them both online and
offline.
-Being private also reduces your chances of cyber attacks, scams, stolen
data, and cyber crime.
6. Respond promtly
-Communication is key to maintaining relationships and it is also applicable
in the online setting.
-Not responding or responding late is also a message so be timely with
replies, though everyone has their own lives outside the internet so it
would be just as helpful to be more understanding that not everyone can
reply on time.
7. Don't spam
-Sending links for websites, applications and apps are now easier which is
great for convenience but remember, not everything on the internet is
safe such as sketchy advertisements or links that may steal information.
-Those who are not literate in the cyberspace are susceptible to these .
-Anyone with the right skillset can make hyperlinks that may fool others
into a scam or a virus so be careful with what you spread.
8. -These days, misinformation is rampant since anyone on the internet can
make fake news and fabricate lies.
-When sharing information, be sure to verify if the information is true and
if it may be subject to bias because it could be manipulated to favor a
person or group.
Share information
wisely
