OTEC is pleased to announce three staff promotions and a new Vice President,
Sherry Sibio, who brings years of experience, talent and skill to support the expansion
of our evolving markets and client solutions.
“This is an exciting time for OTEC and we are happy to have a new Vice President
join our existing and talented team,” says Victoria Behune, President and CEO,
OTEC. “A dynamic leader with diverse experience, Sherry will help create exponen-
tial growth for OTEC and contribute to our client success.”
Sherry Sibio joins OTEC as Vice President, Client Solutions. Sherry has helped clients
reach customer satisfaction and revenue growth as an owner of a global training
and consulting organization. She has also held senior positions in the hospitality
sector, including the role of Director of Sales and Marketing for a major international
hotel and resort brand. For over 20 years, Sherry has helped organizations improve
performance to strengthen employee talent and development. Sherry brings to
OTEC valuable knowledge and expertise in sales, marketing, customer service and
leadership within the hospitality and tourism industry.
At OTEC, Sherry is responsible for developing strategies and tactical initiatives to
ensure market growth and customer retention. She also collaborates with OTEC’s
valued clients and partners on solutions for team and business success. Sherry holds
a Masters in Tourism Management (MA) from Royal Roads University. She also has a
Marketing Degree from University of British Columbia and an Adult Education Certifi-

Three OTEC team members have also been promoted to reflect their growth and
talents. Kim Marshall (MES) has been promoted to Senior Manager, Consulting &
Partnership Projects. Since joining the team in 2011, Kim plays a key role in develop-
ing and managing OTEC training and consulting projects. Ava-Dawn Mair
(M.Sc.,CTP) is now OTEC’s Manager, Learning & Performance. With over 10 years
international experience in the hospitality and tourism industry as well as an exten-
sive background in training and adult learning, Ava-Dawn plays an integral role in
the development of OTEC’s training programs. Kelly Lang has also been promoted
to Design & E-Learning Project Coordinator. In this role, Kelly is responsible for the
coordination of OTEC’s learning program development, including instructor-led
training, webinars and e-learning initiatives.
