5. Web Development
Web programming, also known as web development, is
the creation of dynamic web applications.
Examples of web applications are social networking sites
like Facebook or e-commerce sites like Amazon.
In fact, many argue it’s the best form of coding for
beginners to learn. It’s easy to set up, you get instant
results and there’s plenty of online training available.

Front End & Back
End Development
What are they and how do they differ?
7. Front End Development
Front-end development refers to constructing
what a user sees when they load a web
application – the content, design and how you
interact with it.
This is done with three core technologies –
HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
7
8. Back End Development
Back-end development controls what goes on
behind the scenes of a web application.
A back-end often uses a database to generate
the front-end.

10. HTML
HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is the
most basic building block of the Web.
It defines the meaning and structure of web
content.
"Hypertext" refers to links that connect web
pages to one another, either within a single
website or between websites.

11. HTML
HTML uses "markup" to annotate text, images, and other
content for display in a Web browser.
HTML markup includes special "elements" such as
<head>, <title>, <body>, <header>, <footer>, <article>,
<section>, <p>, <div>, <span>, <img>, <aside>, <audio>,
<canvas>, <datalist>, <details>, <embed>, <nav>,
<output>, <progress>, <video>, <ul>, <ol>, <li> and many
others.

13. css
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is a declarative
language that controls how webpages look in
the browser.
A style declaration contains the properties
and their values, which determine how a
webpage looks.

14. css
A CSS rule is a set of properties associated with a
selector. Here is an example that makes every HTML
paragraph yellow against a black background:

16. Javascript
JavaScript (or "JS") is a programming
language used most often for dynamic client-
side scripts on webpages, but it is also often
used on the server-side, using a runtime such
as Node.js.
16
17. Javascript
JavaScript is mostly used in the browser,
enabling developers to manipulate webpage
content through the DOM, manipulate data
with AJAX and IndexedDB, draw graphics
with canvas, interact with the device running
the browser through various APIs, and more.
