2. SITUATION OF POLAND
Poland is a country that is located in the North
part of Europe. Poland is surrounded by Germany,
Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukrania, Belarus and
Lithuania. Poland is surronded by the baltic sea in
the North.
3. GEOGRAPHY OF POLAND
In Poland, the most biggest rivers are the river
Vistula and the river Oder.
The Carpathians one of the most important
mountains of Poland.
Poland is limited by the Baltic sea in the North.
4. DIVISON OF POLAND
The most important cities of Poland are Warsaw
(the capital city of poland) and Krakow (the
second city with more population.)
Poland is a Republic, an it´s divided into sixteen
provinces called “voivodatos”.
It´s a Unitary State, and the three powers
(legislative, judicial and executive) are
administred in the capital city (Warsaw).
5. THE HEAD OF STATE
The head of state in Poland is the president, that
is called Bronislaw Komorowski.
The prime minister of Poland is called Donald
Tusk.

6. CULTURE AND HISTORY
Poland was a country that was controlled by Nazis
in the World War II. They created ghettos in cities
like Warsaw or Lodz. The ghettos were places to
gather and then kill Jews. A famous person in the
warsaw ghetto was Irena Sendler. Irena Sendler
was a nurse and a social worker who during the
World War II helped and saved over 2500 jewish
children. She was known as “The Angel of the
Ghetto”. She was nominated to the Nobel Peace
Price in 2007.
