Why is it a problem?\n\nPatient\n\nIts annoying to wait around in waiting rooms when there is a delay. Could be at home, or doing some fun stuff.\n\nHospital\n\nNo shows cost a ward between 90-160 pounds each, and 1-10 appointments are no shows.\nCancelations must be made at least 48 hours before appointment due\nBudgets for next year\nTime planning within the day is tricky because of uncertainty.\n

Why we made that decision\n\nHit as many people as we can, using the internet to power the service but it is not the interface necessarily. \n
the future\n\nwe want to;\n\n- voice activated version\n- Investigate whether to intergrate with NHS system, or to run as web app that pulls data\n- Intergration with patient transport/ onsite parking\n- Iphone app (obviously)\n- sustainability by NHS partnerships paying for the service - we will sell the software to each NHS trust\n\n
