1. Beginning with this issue of“The Source”, AnnieMac will be shining the proverbial spotlighton an individual or a
departmentwithin the company, and giving a briefsynopsis oftheir position and some oftheir proudestmoments as
team members ofAnnieMac. We are proud to have our first featured stars,our very own Servicing Department
featuring Ronald Anthony (Loan Servicing Director of Investor Reporting),Beth Fidanza (Loan Servicing Client
Services Representative),Ira Moskowitz (Director of Loan Administration),HenryThomas (Loan Servicing Default
Manager) and Samantha Reilly!
Our Servicing Departmentserves a multitude offunctions both on investor and borrower levels,over the course of
closing through liquidation.This process attimes can lastas little as 1 month or as long as thirty years, but due to
frequentrefinances and servicing trades,these relationships lastan average of three to five years. For borrower
related purposes,our Servicing Departmentis here to process borrowers’ payments, manage borrowers’ escrow
funds,and provide year end information for tax reporting.In other scenarios,a borrower mayneed assistance from
the Servicing Departmentifthey strike financial burden and are in need of counseling regarding a default.
Additional responsibilities include the reporting and remittance requirements ofthe Investor who ultimatelybuys the
loan from AnnieMac. And finally, at liquidation,the Servicing Departmentensures thatall mortgage liens are removed
from the loan.
In today’s environment,processes are ever-changing,and the volatility requires adaptations and growth.When asked
what they enjoyed mostabouttheir positions within AnnieMac,they explained that the departmentwas builtfrom the
ground up, allowing them to leverage their combined prior experiences and learn from them,to apply previous efforts
in a way that was practical with today’s environment,and strive to use the latesttechnologies to build the most
efficient servicing experience for our customers and our company.
Recently, the departmentas a whole made huge waves when they closed a negotiation and testing phase,spanning
multiple months and entered into a contract with Ventanex. Ventanex, is a third party vendor that provides “pay by
phone” services which AnnieMac (and their customers) can now utilize to process mortgage payments byphone.In
justthe second month ofoffering this service,“pay by phone” is being used by ten percent of our borrowers!The
Servicing Departmentis thrilled,as they should be,to have made this feature an assetto our companyand to our
borrowers,and is excited to release new enhancements including a customer portal for our borrowers to review their
loan information online,and eventuallymake payments through the convenience of the web!
When we asked our proud leader Joseph Panebianco for his thoughts regarding the Servicing Department,he had
