I am a deckhand with over a years experience looking to secure a position on a private yacht. I also have a construction
and commercial fishing background, practically minded with experience in: tender driving, basic marine engineering (AC
work, generator maintenance & knowledge of marine systems), Management skills, sanding, wood treatment, all power
tools, deck care, caulking, metal painting and all exterior cleaning tools and products. Hungry to move up the ranks by
getting sea time with diligent crew who can push me to improve my skill set.

Percy before the boat set sail for Montenegro. Duties included: removal and replacement of main and mizzen sail,
reorganisation of lockers and hatches after busy charter, cleaning teak, polishing, tender detailing, wash downs and prep
for the up coming boss trip. Initially working under supervision until my competence had been demonstrated, then
subsequently trusted to complete tasks on my own.

mate and chief stewardess to transform a neglected vessel into a charter-ready

2. 06/10/2014 to 25/01/2015: M/Y SCOUT 47m. Deckhand.
4 months working as a deckhand and a part of the refit team. All regular deck work plus assisting the engineer replace
fresh water pumps, sump pumps, servicing generators and replacing pipes and valves due to problems with electrolysis.
Experience with all cleaning products: Starbright, Zep, Simple Green, Ospho, Flitz, Awlgrip etc. Trusted to take the watch
on my own and did so over Christmas and New Years. The captain was happy for me to complete tasks on my own up to
his standard.

10/01/2014 to 15/03/2014: Eubalaena 30m Commercial Fishing. Deckhand
3 months commercial fishing in Darwin, Australia, duties included: Helping the Captain with maintenance of the fishing
equipment and mechanical support in the engine room, cleanliness of the boat inside and out, provisioning for 2 week
trips and shared responsibilities in the galley. Long hours - up to and above 18 hours a day - for 2 week trips with either 2
or 7 days respite in between trips.
Other experience & hobbies
Construction: 2.5 years experience in the construction industry, competent with all power tools, woodwork and working
to a plan.
Guitar: 11 years experience playing and singing.
Photography: Like anyone, travelling has curated a passion for photography and I recently treated myself to a SONY
RX-1 and have become somewhat of a happy-snapper.
Sous Chef: 6 Months experience in the Pearl Restaurant, 5
