Currently l am Master on a small inshore Seismic Gun Boat in Azerbaijan, on the
Caspian Sea. The previous four years I have been working as Mate/ Pipe Operator
on a 66mtr Split Hopper Suction Dredge, and Mate on18-45 metre ASD tugs within
the Western Australia's resources sector. This included: oil and gas services at
Barrow Island; mining services at Cape Preston; and harbour barge towage at
Henderson, Perth.
Experience at Barrow Island included: ocean towing from Henderson; birthing of
shipping; and towing construction barges from Barrow Island to Dampier. I was
mainly under contract with OMS during this time with some work completed for
WestSea.
My contract with TAMS at Cape Preston was primarily towing and birthing of iron ore
barges to ocean-going vessels from the Port.
Additional experience in the towing and birthing of barges was gained during
contract for PB Towage at Henderson.
I currently hold a Western Australian and Queensland Master 4 and a New Zealand
Offshore Master Unlimited <500 Ton. In addition, I have all current compliance
certifications.
Experience prior to the above includes extensive Master/Mate positions on Seismic
vessels throughout the world, including Bangladesh, Borneo, Norway and New
Zealand. In addition, I have spend 25 years in the commercial fishing industries
worldwide.

Responsibilities included : operating 15 m echo sounder/ light boat, fish
and log spotter.
*Fishing was done at night using logs, therefore it was dolphin friendly.

crew catching squid at night with Jigging machines as well as trolling
albacore tuna in daylight hours using double crew.
