2. I have created a program that is
meant to engage students and give
them a chance to be successful.
3. The purpose of a prevention program to help individuals. Mostly to prevent
people from doing certain acts and getting themselves into serious trouble. They
stop problems before they become issues.
4. PREVENTION PROGRAM’S DEFINED
If the correct prevention program is applied it can
be very purposeful, It can give youth an
opportunity to build strong bonds and have good
relationships.
5. THREE PROGRAMS I‘VE RESEARCHED
S.O.S prevention program: S.O.S reaches out to troubled teens and interact
with them at a personal level and connect with them. Youth learn amazing
core values that will follow them for the rest of their life.
DUKE, center for child and family policy: Anything that has to with
developing a healthy family this program has it covered. The most important
one is their project on truancy prevention. One of their tactics is amazing,
they have the parents get involved with the schools. The parents and the
teacher work together as one to make school more beneficial for the
students.
STOP BULLYING PROGRAM: I think we can agree that bullying can play a big
roll on truancy. This program focuses on preventing bullying in and out of and
cyberbullying. They allow people to recognize it then teach them how to
prevent it from happening. They strive to make schools into a safe
environment and free of bullying.
6. KEY FEATURES
I would love to incorporate some bully awareness
and prevention into my program. One that peaks my
interests the most is how the stop bullying program
educates parents at a personal level and teach them
how to identify bullying if its happening and how to
stop it by giving them classes once a week.
8. DELINQUENCY IN TEENAGE YEARS
This section of the chapter was really informative. I
believe that in the teenage years is when youth are
really trying to find their identity, and that is one of
the most important times for influential adults to
come into their lives. Mentors are really important
and can help mold and shape a teens life event
prevent some negative situations.
