ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM MANAGER
Managed and coordinated the efforts of four distinctly different departments to create a balanced statewide program which
oversaw the strategic environmental needs that allowed continued training on Camp Edwards, MA.
• Increased coordination and communication throughout the Massachusetts Army Nation Guard: Communicated
with senior leadership to create more efficient collaboration among departments.
• Developed department synchronization meeting: This effort alone eliminated 4 meetings a month and cut
redundant email traffic in by 50% by streamline department communication.
• Received National Guard Environmental Security Awards: Remediation and Sustainment awards have been
received for the team efforts of the department.
• Created two programs to educate employees: One program focused on educating employees working day to day at
the armories while the other educated National Guard soldiers who attended weekend drills once a month.
• Managed budget creation and disbursement: Developed multimillion dollar budgets and oversaw project by
project disbursement of funds without any overages. Hired three employees into critical positions while balancing
employees salaries against the yearly budgets without loss of projects or requirements.

Transportation Company with over 130 soldiers and more than 60 vehicles of rolling stock
through numerous state emergencies (snow storms, hurricanes and the Boston Bombing) and stood ready to deploy if
asked.
• Eliminated retention issues: Fostered a respectful work environment that citizen soldiers wanted to attend.
• Transformed failing administrative system: By moving personnel to appropriate positions, creating guidelines, and
setting goals the unit was brought to 95% compliance with management policy.
• Discarded redundancy: Created a schedule to inventory all property for serviceability and accountability then
balanced it against our needs which allowed for the elimination of unneeded stock and freed up supply room.

Transportation Battalion with 2500 soldiers and a fleet of close to 500 vehicles and
rolling stock during the largest draw down of forces since World War II.
• Managed safety and environmental programs: Investigated all incidents from the OSHA 300, developed
appropriate, manageable and meaningful risk mitigation procedures, and kept up will all safety regulations under
extreme conditions.
• Award Winning Program: When measured against all like units the safety program scored 97% efficiency.
VENTURE TAPE CORPS 2007-2009
Environmental Engineer for a mid-sized tape manufacturing company where my responsibilities included yearly
reporting, managing of all hazardous waste and ordering personnel protective equipment and supplies as needed.
• Managed hazardous waste: Provided consistent oversight of the hazardous waste management program from
monitoring satellite accumulation areas to signing manifest and all the reporting required of the position.
• Created a laboratory safety program: By consolidating ordering of personnel protective equipment, spill supplies
and beginning a stock rotation plan the department budget was lowered and correct ordering increased employee
safety.
