8. Chito and Raul were classmates. They both loved playing
basketball. Chito practiced every day to improve his shooting
and dribbling skills, while Raul seldom practiced. He liked
playing computer games, rather than spending time to improve
his skills in playing basketball.
One day, their P.E. teacher announced that there would be
a tryout. Chito and Raul enlisted for the said tryout. Raul knew
that he would not likely pass because he did not practice as
often as Chito did.
9. He asked his father’s help, who was one of the
teachers in their school, to get him into the team. His
father explained to him that it was not fair because
the other pupils worked very hard to train. If he
wanted to join the team, he should have practiced
regularly beforehand.
Raul realized his mistake and promised to [ractice
hard next time.
