Job Profile
• Inspection of the welding operations & preheating, checking the
suitability of protections and precautionary measures adopted by the
welder both for the electrode and for facing adverse atmospheric
conditions.
• Arranging fit up inspection as per dimension and elevation mention in
revision drawing.
• Arranging the client inspection every day and making daily progress
reports.
• After completion of welding the party is offered for suitable inspection
test in shop or lab, mostly NDT is preferable RT, MT, and UT & PT.
• Conduct WPS, PQR and WQT as per Welding Procedure Specification.
• Inspection of fit-up, dimensions, alignment and assembly works.
• Joint inspection with third party and co-operate with them for approval.
• Checking the Incoming material, their grades and physical status.
• Ensuring that correct WPS is followed and qualifying welders.
