Markem-Imaje in New Zealand is a wholly owned subsidiary of an international
corporation providing Industrial marking and coding solutions for industry.
Although we are part of a major corporation in New Zealand we have a close knit
team of just 15. Any new members need to not only do the job but also fit with
the rest of the staff. We were approached by Jill Armstrong of SOS Recruitment
and decided to give her an opportunity to work on the vacancy for a Telephone
Account Manager, this was after a number of attempts to fill the role through
other means. Jill asked all the right questions and I found she got a good feel of
what we were trying to achieve and who we were very quickly. Within 5 days
she had put 3 candidates forward, one of whom was the right candidate for us.
The position was filled within weeks of our initial conversations.
After this success we gave Jill the other opportunities which arose and she
successfully recruited a Service Help Desk Planner and a Sales Engineer. With
all of our roles we were looking for a certain kind of person and Jill understood
where we were coming from and did not just send us anybody. These roles took
time to fill due to our specific requirements but during this time Jill stayed in
touch regularly by phone, forwarded candidates and always ensured that she
was providing the service and type of people we as a company were looking for.
We filled all of our roles with Jill at SOS.
