2. As a person, this resonates with me because
I'm aware that people in other countries or
even those within the United States don't have
access to basic resources that are essential for
survival. Sometimes people receive
government assistance such as EBT cards to
pay for groceries, but this isn't the case
everywhere around the world. I think that no
matter the circumstance, no one should
endure hunger or malnourishment. I especially
sympathize with babies or young children
because they can't do much to help
themselves, so they just starve.

3. How can your interest be applied
locally?

Currently, I'm working at Medosweet Farms in Kent, WA. My main job
consists of putting grocery boxes together along with my coworkers.
These boxes contain a generous amount of fresh produce, dairy, and
protein products. They are put together with the purpose of being
donated to families in need. Initially, the project was created to support
families who were enduring economic insecurity during the COVID-19
pandemic, but it is an ongoing project as of 2023.

4. Where can you personally make the
greatest contribution?
I'm positive that I could make the greatest
contribution around my community. I live in
downtown/eastside Tacoma, so I am familiar
with the struggles surrounding me. There
are a lot of homeless people around these
regions and the situation doesn't seem to
get better. This topic has given me the idea
of volunteering with others to feed the
homeless population. Another thing that
could be done would be to organize food
drives to donate to shelters.

5. Is there a feature of social media that
can be uniquely applied to this goal?
• Google Sites (a site could be created to
implement an effective agenda)
• Blog (acknowledge issues that are present
in today's society to attract an audience)
