PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
May 2011 – May 2015 Data Network Technician, United States Marine Corps
Instrumental in the relocating $30M worth of network assets, supporting 10K personnel,
restructured the network, reorganized connections, and completed the cabling diagram
while minimizing downtime. This resulted in decreased outages and improved
connectivity spanning 3 enclaves and closed security issues.
Partook in the reconstruction of over 50 live virtual maps across 3 classified networks via
Solar Winds Orion management software to display network connectivity, used by an
emergency response team to support operations for an installation that facilitates
multiple international personnel.
Worked alongside a team of 13 technicians to complete over 1000 network related
trouble tickets, as well and installed, maintained, and troubleshot over 1200 network
devices across 3 classified networks.
Created over 300 user accounts for wide and local area networks to be used in unison
with tactical training environments.
Maintained and improved an IT Helpdesk that provided various services including, but
not limited to: account creation, migration, and reactivation, network connectivity
resolution, hardware accountability, printing issues, workstation installation and
configuration, email troubleshooting, SharePoint 2010 site management and
move/add/change (MAC) requests.
Worked alongside subordinate units while their IT Helpdesk Technicians were absent
during deployments, providing them with all necessary services needed in order to keep
their local element operational.
Provided software and hardware installation, virus removal, BSOD resolution, Operating
System reimaging and updating for personal use computers.
