1. BIOMEDICAL TECHNOLOGY/BIOENGINEERING COLLEGES AND CAREERS
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A BIOMEDICAL TECHNOLOGY OR BIOENGINEERING MAJOR?
As a biomedical technology or bioengineering major, you’ll build a foundation for a future that could take many directions. You might look for the
chemical signals in the body that warn of cancer. You might invent a new and improved type of prosthetic hand. You might refine the robots that doctors
are just beginning to use in some surgery. These scientific fields are also top paying professions. If you pursue a job in the biomedical technology or
engineering field, you can expect to receive good pay and benefits and an excellent chance at advancement.
WHAT ARE SOME MAJORS AND AREAS OF REASEARCH ARE AVAILABLE WITHIN THE BIOMEDICAL TECHNOLOGY AND BIOENGINEERING FIELDS?
Biomechanics Biomolecular Engineering
Electrobiology Biomedical Imaging
Biomedical Engineering Making Composites for Aerospace
Combining Nanoparticles for Medical Applications Organic Electronics
Medical Imaging Systems Neuroscience
