• 36% have 10+ ASD students attending
• 73% said none of their ASD students
participated in work-based experiences
• Very few ASD students are completing
CTE, gainfully employed, and/or continuing on
to postsecondary education
3. Notable Comments
• “If a student does not complete a program
and drops out of the CTE, we no longer receive
information on that student.”
• “We had one student with autism on a
cooperative education experience. We had to
bring him back for additional training. He had
trouble following verbal directions and
procedures.”

• psychologists who work with teachers to meet
