Questions:
1. Define the first and last sounds of Korotkoff. Which sound
is used to approximate systolic pressure and which sound is
used to approximate diastolic pressure?
2. What are systole and diastole, relative to the contraction and
relaxation of heart chambers?
3. What events cause the “lubb-dupp” heart sounds as heard
with a stethoscope?
4. At the beginning of ventricular systole, the pressure in the
ventricles rises until they are able to eject blood. What event
must occur for ventricular ejection to proceed?
5. What has to happen to the pressure of the ventricles after
ejection is complete before they can refill? What event must
happen for the ventricles to refill?
6. Define pulse pressure. Explain how a low (<40mmHg) or
high pulse pressure (>60mmHg) might indicate cardiovascular
disease. HINT: Consider what changes in the systolic pressure
would mean.
7. Define Cardiac Cycle.
8. Characterize the relationship between the electrical events
and the mechanical events of the cardiac cycle.

· Downloaded the python script (create_instance.py) to my local
desktop. Clicked on the file tree and opened the editor tab. The
scripted populated and analyzed all lines according to lab
instructions. In line 14 I inputted my key pair name associated
with the EC2 instance. There was no error in line 39.
Opened up Bash and ran the script “python create_instance.py”
Went back to the EC2 dashboard to make sure the python
instance was provisioned correctly. It states that the instance is
running.

Project 2 Lab 2
· Went to CloudFormation in the AWS dashboard and created
new stack with designer. Dragged the VPC resource to the
canvas and gave it a CIDR block of 10.0.0.0/16. Next I pulled
the Internet Gateway onto the canvas and gave it a dependency
relationship between the VPC and Internet Gateway. This was
done by dragging the brown dot from the Internet Gateway and
attaching it to the VPC. The Internet Gateway was attached by
the blue dot to the VPC. I validated the template with the
validation template located at the top of the screen. I then saved
the template to my local desktop.
· I provisioned the stack by uploading the template that I
created and saved locally. I gave the stack name CCA625-P2-
CPW. Once I created the stack it showed on the dashboard as
created.
· I verified that the new VPC was available by navigating to my
VPCs in the management console. It showed in green as
available.
· I also verified that the Internet Gateway was attached by
navigating to the Internet gateway on the left pane.
· After I was completed I deleted the cloud formation stack and
VPC’s and ensured that they were deleted as to not accrue
charges from AWS.
Christopher Weaver
Project 2 Lab 1
· Used the CLI with the command: ec2 create-vpc with the
CIDR block notation of 10.0.0/16
· Ran the command aws create-tags –resources vpc-
05f9ca0fd5058e0ea –tags “Key=Name,Value=CLI VPS”
· I went back to the EC2 dashboard and viewed the VPC to
make sure it was available.
· Both states were available
· This step was to provision an internet gateway using the
command aws ec2 create-tags –resources igw-
03eca421cd4ed5988 –tags “Key=Name,Value=CLI IG”
· I ran the command aws ec2 attach-internet-gateway –internet-
gateway-id igw-03eca421cd4ed5988 –vpc-id vpc-
05f9ca0fd5058e0ea
· I went back to the EC2 dashboard to verify the gateway was
created and used the CLI to attach the internet gateway to the
VPC. In the dashboard, it shows the VPC as being attached.
· After I verified everything was correct, I went back to the
dashboard and deleted my gateway as well as VPC as to not
incur charges from AWS.
Describe how using scripting framework like AWS CLI can help
BallotOnline in administering its cloud deployment?
· Scripting Framework like AWS CLI can help BallotOnline in
administering its cloud deployment by creating automation
which is less time consuming then locating and administering an
AMI, setting up a VPC manually and creating an Internet
Gateway. This would cut half the time it would take and would
save the company overall in annual spending using the AWS
management console.
