2. Sears Tower
In August of 1970 the construction of the
Sears tower began. This photo is of the
beams at the very beginning. Who would
have ever thought that these just plain
beams would have ended up in the 1730
foot tall Sears Tower, in May of 1973.
4. This, the photo to the left, is a view looking down from the sky deck at the Sears Tower. The photo to
the right is of the new addition known as the ledge. You are standing in a glass enclosure that is
1353 feet up from the ground and extends approximately 4 feet out the side of the tower, giving a
phenomenal view of the city.
5. Chicago Blues Festival
What an honor to get to participate in this event. Many performers have, and continue to do so. Bonnie Raitt, BB King, and Ray

view of Lake Michigan and other parts of
the city from this amazing ride.
11. Mini Golf
Another fun event to do at
Chicago’s Navy Pier is mini

showing the golf course from
the Ferris Wheel. Also, note
Chicago Skyline in the
background.
12. Chicago Style Food
Chicago Style stuffed pizza from
Giordanos.
A Chicago Style Hot Dog, another must
have if you visit Chicago.
13. Bubba Gump’s Restaurant
A popular food place in Chicago, at Navy Pier. Notice the red sign on the table. It states “Stop, Forrest Stop”. The opposite side
states, “Run Forrest Run” on green. This is a fun way to get the attention of your server, if attention is needed.
14. Chicago
Chicago has history, that is still being made. There are a variety of activities that take place at all times of the year, in
many different areas of this great place.
