The film follows James Weir, a 15-year-old boy who has suffered from dark nightmares since he was 6 years old. The nightmares are worsening and becoming clearer visions of his murderous future. Like Donnie Darko and Silent Hill, the film revolves around the dark nightmares of the protagonist. James is a lonely person who finds it difficult to interact with others and confides only in himself, unlike his outgoing brother Mark who does not suffer from nightmares. The film begins with James emerging from a dream on a hillside and returning home, entering through the back door past his brother Mark.
