Our rational…  Autism: Ever growing population of students with autism Understanding of the challenges in teaching students with Autism Wanted to provide money for additional resources
Florida Autism Center of Sanford  The Facility: Opened for about 5 years Branching out: Tallahassee South Florida Class size: Currently 3 students in each class Next year- 10 students per class
Fundraiser Holding a bake sale: Held at 3 different locations 1 for each group member Donations were also accepted Raised a total of $140.00

Helping Out Personal Demographics: English/Language Arts Education Major Preschool teacher Enjoys reading Types of Activities: Playing board games Assisting with “clean up” Greeting parents
Getting Involved Personal Demographics: English/Language Arts Education Enjoy creative writing Manger at Express, LLC Types of Activities: Passing out snacks Organizing cubby’s  Sterilizing toys
Volunteering Personal Demographics: English/Language Arts Education Work in Dance studio Reads minimum 2 books a week Types of Activities: Cleaning up Engaged in outside activities Helped facilitate games
Reflection Change in perception: Thought Autism was easily observable Thought they needed to be “babied” Thought they would lack communicational skills How it has affected our teaching: Constant supervision Over stimulation Colors, noises, new people etc.
