- Right now I want to tell you a story. who here is from northeast D.C. … did you hear about the 38 year old mother, Cassandra Baily, from Northeast D.C. Oh, well let me tell you about her, because she died because she waited for an ambulance for 90 minutes. Even though the 911 operator assured Cassandra’s family that ambulance was on its way, for some reason the ambulance drove all the way back to the dispatcher center before receiving their instructions. With N-1-1, Cassandra’s family could have alerted near by off duty EMTs, medical personal, and other responders who could have been at the scene to save her in a matter of seconds. That family will never completely recover from this incident, no family could, and the city was sued for $10 million dollars for the mistake. For everyone involved, N-1-1 would have made all the difference.
- In contrast, let me tell you about what happened to me personally.I was driving to school when two cars slammed into each at a busy intersection. The crash was nearly fatal to the 90 year old woman behind the wheel. But bystanders rushed to the scene to help. Two off duty FBI agents directed traffic and phoned 911 while an off duty doctor attended to the woman. Seeing people so eager to help each other in such a critical situation, inspired me to build the N-1-1 mobile app, so that everyone can get the speed of care that this women was unfortunate enough to need, but lucky enough to get. And here is how you and your loved ones get that care….
- You find yourself in an emergencyYou launch the N-1-1 app to automatically alert nearby respondersYou then fill out a situation summary report to send to the responders, or call 911, or both.If you have the premium version you will also be able to alert ALL of your emergency contacts directly, no matter how far away they are. Your mom, your son, your sister, everyone.Once a responder receive an alert, the app is launched on their phone and displaysdirections to your location as well as whatever information you send in the summary report. Its so simple even a child can use it. The most significant revenue sources are Premium Versions we are especially focused on targeting families since every emergency app in the Google Play store that explicitly markets to families, has over a million downloadsGrantsand Contracts federal to local governments and government burocraciesAPIs and Sponsorships
