numerous local nonprofit endeavors, one of which includes the Children’s
Healthcare of Atlanta.
Established in 1915, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta focuses on treating children
and focusing on family support. It features three separate hospitals: Children’s at
Egleston, Children’s at Hughes Spalding, and Children’s at Scottish Rite. In addition
to its three hospitals, the group has 28 neighborhood locations and sees more
than one million patients annually. It is one of the largest pediatric clinical care
providers in the country.
Over the years, the nonprofit pediatric healthcare system has received numerous
recognitions and awards, including one of the top 100 best employers by Fortune
Magazine for 12 straight years. In March 2017, the magazine named the
healthcare system as the 56th best employer, making it the only Georgia
healthcare system on the list and one of only four companies headquartered in the
state. Those who work for the organization receive on-site employee health clinics,
concierge services, and up to $10,000 in adoption and fertility help.
