the

the
paint

prepare

Sign-‐In
Procedure
It
is
essential
that
all
visitors
to
the
PFLC
complete
the
sign-‐in
sheet
every
time
they
visit,
as
the
Ministry
of
Education
requires
monthly
attendance
reports.
• Make
sure
everyone
signs
into
the
book
at
the
door
• Ask
if
this
is
their
first
visit
this
school
year
o If
so,
they
must
complete
a
Registration
Form
and
Photo
Consent
Form
o These
forms
are
located
in
the
blue
binder
at
the
door
o Place
these
forms
in
the
purple
folder
under
the
sign
in
sheets
for
confidentiality
reasons
• Show
caregivers
and
children
where
to
hang
their
coats,
outdoor
shoes/boots,
and
park
strollers
or
any
other
outdoor
materials
• Record
the
number
of
children
and
the
number
of
adults
on
the
sign
in
sheet
at
the
end
of
the
day
Sign-‐in
sheets
must
also
be
completed
on
the
days
of
family
trips
or
excursions
from
the
PFLC.

after
playing,
as
this
will
prevent
the
room
from
becoming
a
huge
mess
very
quickly
• Facilitate
activities
that
promote
early
learning
• Engage
parents
in
their
child’s
learning
Snack
Time

Feel
free

time

the
children’s

Preparation
• The
snacks
need
to
be
prepared
ahead
of
time
o If
there
are
regular
caregivers
available,
they
will
usually
help
you
prepare
the
snacks
or
do
prepare
the
snacks
themselves
• Food
is
located
in
the
fridge
or
cupboard
• Caregivers
should
select
what
their
child
will
eat
• Each
snack
should
involve
a
carbohydrate,
a
protein
and
a
fruit
or
vegetable
• Use
tongs
to
serve
any
fruits
or
vegetables
• Perform
all
the
cutting
yourself
for
safety
reasons
• Wash
and
store
the
knife
immediately
after
use
