RE: Waste Certification
Tackl Absorbent
Dear MR. FULTON:
The Alabama Department of Environmental Management has reviewed your waste certification received on 09/24/2014 and has
assigned a Certification Number for this waste as shown below.
Waste Profile #: 140688 Tackl Technologies LLC
Certification #: SW-093016-0076 Baldwin County
Expiration Date of Certification: 09/30/2016
In your certification you requested one or more landfills be approved to receive your waste. Based on our review of the waste
and the landfills requested, the waste is approved for disposal in the following landfills:
Magnolia Sanitary Landfill 02-03
You should provide this approval letter to the landfill(s) listed above and contact the landfill to determine any special handling
requirements for this waste prior to delivery to the landfill. According to ADEM regulations, the landfill may not receive this
waste unless it has received a waste certification approval. For waste generated on a routine basis (not a one-time occurrence),
another written certification for this waste stream should be submitted to ADEM prior to the expiration date listed above or at any
time the process producing the waste changes. Each submittal should include a completed Solid Waste Profile Sheet, any
supporting documentation including current analytical, and the appropriate fee. Current analytical consists of analysis performed
within the past six months.
If at any time before the expiration date of this certification, new analysis of the waste is performed, the new results will
supersede any prior analysis from the time the samples are taken. If the new analysis indicates the waste is still non-hazardous,
the waste may continue to be disposed of at the landfill listed above until the expiration date of this certification. If the new
analysis indicates the waste is hazardous, this certification is revoked. Each time new analysis is performed on the waste,
copies of the analytical results should be provided to ADEM and the landfill until this certification expires. The generator should
not dispose of the waste prior to the receipt and review of the sampling results. Furthermore, this approval letter does not
exempt Tackl Technologies LLC from complying with all applicable requirements of the ADEM Administrative Code. If you have
any questions concerning this approval or the approval process, please contact Ms. Blake B. Pruitt at 334-271-7756.
Sincerely,
Ronald T. Shell, Chief
Environmental Services Branch

Dear Keith Fulton,
On behalf of the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA's) BioPreferred® program, I am
pleased to inform you that your application for use of the USDA Certified Biobased Product Label for
TACKL Technologies Absorbent has been approved as of December 01, 2012. The test results for your
product indicate the percentage of biobased content to be 98%.
The Label remains in effect as long as the product or package is manufactured and marketed in
accordance with the approved application and requirements of §2904.5 (i.e. Code of Federal
Regulations for the Voluntary Labeling Program for Biobased Products); unless one of these occur:
1. Product or package reformulation: The product or package formulation of the certified product
is changed such that the biobased content is reduced to a level below that reported in the
approved application. When products have been reformulated, a new application for
certification must be submitted in order to resume using the USDA Certified Biobased Product
Label; and/or,
2. New minimum biobased content: USDA revises the minimum biobased content required for a
product or package to be eligible to display the certification mark and the product or package
does not meet the revised minimum. USDA will inform you that your certification is no longer
valid. In this case, you must increase the biobased content of your product to be at or above
the revised minimum and re-apply for certification within 60 days in order to continue to use
the certification mark.
This email is your official notice of biobased product certification. Please print and save this
email should you need to provide certification documentation to any entity.
The BioPreferred program looks forward to a long and successful partnership with you in the promotion
of biobased products.
If you have additional questions or would like further information, you may call the BioPreferred Program
Information Line (877) 251-6522 or email us at biobasedlabel@dm.usda.gov.
Sincerely,
Kate Lewis
