1. Investor activity on the rise in hotel market
Cincinnati
• A former Ramada hotel just outside Cincinnati’s central business district recently sold for $2.5 million, or
roughly $11,100 per room, continuing the trend of increasing hotel sales activity into 2015. An affiliate of
New Zealand-based VR Group purchased the 12-story, 225-room hotel in Queensgate from AAIG of
Cincinnati LLC, which is made up of a group of California investors. Built in 1964, the 122,000-square-
foot building was last renovated about five years ago.
