The Beginner’s Guide to Intermittent Keto
Keto Garlic Butter Steak with Roasted Asparagus
Ingredients:
● 2 ribeye steaks (8-10 oz each)
● 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
● 4 cloves garlic, minced
● Salt and pepper to taste
● 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
● 2 tablespoons olive oil
● 1 teaspoon lemon juice
● Optional: grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
3. In a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add
minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Place the steaks in the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook the steaks for an additional 5-7
minutes for medium-rare, or adjust the cooking time according to your desired level of
doneness.
6. While the steaks are cooking, prepare the roasted asparagus. Place the trimmed
asparagus on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper, then
toss to coat evenly.
7. Roast the asparagus in the oven for about 10-12 minutes until tender but still crisp.
8. Remove the skillet from the oven and transfer the steaks to a cutting board. Allow them
to rest for a few minutes.
9. In a small saucepan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over low heat. Stir in the
lemon juice and season with salt and pepper to taste.
10. Slice the steaks against the grain into thin strips.
11. Serve the sliced steak on a plate alongside the roasted asparagus. Drizzle the garlic
butter sauce over the steak and asparagus.
12. Optional: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the asparagus for an extra flavor boost.
