YMCA To Offer On-going Swimming Lessons To Public
San Marcos, Texas, Aug. 12, 2013 – The local YMCA office will begin
registration for on-going swimming lessons open to the public beginning August 15
through 22.
Age groups will consist of tiny tots (ages 1-3); kindergarten (ages 4-6);
elementary (ages 7-9); youth (ages 10-13); and teens (ages 14-17).
Classes are limited to 15 students per class, and the registration cost is $20
per child and $25 per adult for YMCA members. Children and adults without
membership will be charged $30 and $35 respectively.
Children’s classes begin Aug. 25, and all classes will meet twice a week until
Nov. 30 according to the following schedule:
Tiny tots meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.
The kindergarten class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2 p.m. until
3 p.m.
Elementary students meet from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Mondays and
Wednesdays
The youth class runs from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays
The teen class meets from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Mondays and
Wednesdays
Two classes are held for adults (ages eighteen and older). One meets on
Monday and Tuesday nights from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. The other meets on
Saturday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
Cash refunds for registration fees will not be given, and those who register
for classes but need to cancel should notify Mrs. Bucher at 777-4567. A credit
memo may be issued for the amount of the registration fee, which can be applied
to registration for other YMCA classes at a future date.
