Letter of Reference for Irina Predut
To whom it may concern,
I know Irina Predut since she started her MA studies "International Relations - Global Governance and
Social Theory", a joint postgraduate programme by the University of Bremen and the Jacobs University
Bremen. During the two year programme Irina has gained analytical and empirical knowledge about
governance beyond the nation state from an interdisciplinary perspectives drawing on political science,
economics, law and history. She wrote her thesis on "The Indebted Eurozone: A Non-Optimum
Currency in a Time of Crisis", which builds upon the literature on International Macroeconomics. Shortly,
it is an analysis about the roots of the Eurocrisis, a crisis of internal imbalances of payments. She
completed her postgraduate studies with excellent grades.
Since 2013 I have become acquainted with her as an excellent research assistant. She has been
involved in creating and managing two large databases, one on tax legislation in the world and one on
classifying and structuring tax reforms in the OECD. Finding and collecting data has required significant
research skills as well as organizational skills in terms of categorizing and updating the data. In our
projects she has been a great team-player, hard-working and she has always delivered her work reliably
on time. Over the years, I have learned to appreciate Irina's ability to quickly structure new information in
an analytical way.
I am convinced that you cannot get a more ambitious, open-minded and analytical person other than
Irina Predut. I very much recommend her. In case you have any further questions, please do not
