Visual detection
The farmer needs to dedicate time to visually
observing his cows to detect oestrus.
Automated detection
The farmers attention is directed to specific cows that are in estrus.
Cows are monitored 24/7, 365 days a year.
Target User – Medium size dairy farms (80 – 100 dairy cows)
Check cow health
The farmer monitors for all cows behaviour and milk
yield. When he notices a cow has problems he intervenes
Use expected calving date
The farmer needs to physically check his late gestation
cows to guestimate the start of calving.
Check insights
IDA warns the farmer with an insight before milk production
decreases or becomes severely ill. The farmer checks specific cows
Use calving prediction
IDA will notify the farmer before the calve is born. The farmer can
monitor the cow closely around calving.
