This document summarizes an analysis of e-sports participation and viewership. It finds that while males are more inclined toward e-sports currently, female participation is growing. It also finds that YouTube is a more popular streaming site than Twitch, mobile gaming is more common than PC or console gaming, and that 6% of players said they would consider e-sports as a career. Additionally, 80% of respondents considered e-sports a real sport, and that females have been more influenced to get involved in e-sports due to lockdown restrictions.
