I always have a computer that’s meant to work, I have another computer
that’s meant to play. When I know that I have to work, I work. When I
have nothing else to do, I play. (Stephan, 16, frequent user of the internet

              home? What for?] –Yeah I would. I’d
Integrated?   create a website, go to Messenger and
              talk with all my colleagues… or I’d
              download movies for me to watch.»

              goes to city library for DVDs and

              Fernanda, 15, frequent user, pursues her
              interest in crime fiction in books, TV series
              and movies, but not on the internet
              Mother: «If I want to have my fun, if I
              want to listen to music I put on a CD, if I
              want to read a book I have books here,
              my fun is not internet.» (Patrícia, 45,

              «Me, the computer… I use it not for a
              cultural use, it’s more like entertainm…
              no… I cannot appreciate that aspect»
