4. Export
Documentation is a
must for Exporters.
Export documentation includes the
necessary export permits and certificates
required by exporting country authorities
and importing country authorities.
Importing and exporting is a complex
process. It involves a lot of paperwork and
the need to know what you're importing
and exporting. Where it would be coming
and going, how much money you would
be paying for it, and so on.

5. Importing goods into Australia is straightforward. There are no restrictions on importing goods
other than those relating to health and safety regulations.
The requirements for exporting goods from Australia are similar to those for importing them.
However, there are some differences.
EXPORT DOCUMENTATION SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
• A copy of your commercial invoice
• A copy of your packing list
• A copy of any packing instructions you may have given to the exporter
• A customs official must stamp a copy of the commercial invoice and packing list at the time of
export.

Export Declaration Number (EDN): An EDN is a unique number assigned by the
Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. It is an official reference
number that identifies your export. The EDN is expressed as a three-digit
number, followed by an "X" followed by four digits. You can use this format when
completing your export documents.
Pre Receival-Advice (PRA): PRA provides clients with information about their
business, its operations, and any risks associated with the transaction. The PRA
can include information offered to clients as part of an offer or before they sign
an agreement.
Request for Permit (RFP): An RFP is a document submitted to the Department of
Agriculture. It requests export documentation for a consignment of meat or
meat products. It also contains the following types of information - importing
country, date of slaughter, product codes, and product descriptions.
Phytosanitary certificates: Phytosanitary certificates are a stamp of approval for
the safety and quality of a plant. They are essential in the agricultural industry to
verify that a plant is safe for human consumption by experts.
Certificate of origin: CO is an intermediate document used in international trade
to indicate the country of origin. Export country's government issue it and lists
the manufacturer, exporter, and importer. The certificate may be issued online
