Product development is the process of designing, creating and marketing new products or
services to benefit customers. Sometimes referred to as new product development, the discipline
is focused on developing systematic methods for guiding all the processes involved in getting a
new product to market.
Product development involves either improving an existing product or its presentation, or
developing a new product to target a particular market segment or segments. Consistent product
development is a necessity for companies striving to keep up with changes and trends in the
marketplace to ensure their future profitability and success. A competitive product development
strategy should include a company-wide commitment to creating items that fulfill particular
consumer needs or characteristics. These characteristics might include consumers' desire for the
following: products that are high-quality or low-cost; products that provide the consumer with
speed or flexibility; or products that offer some other form of differentiation that posits them a
desirable purchase.
Relatedto project
Terrorism is the biggest threat to Pakistan’s progress. It roots can be traced back from 1979,
when there was an effort to kick out Russia from Afghanistan. But the problem became severe
after 9/11. And now in 2014, it’s become a menace for our motherland. I do not want to go into
detail history of terrorism in Pakistan. But the million dollar question is: what are the ways to
eradicate or to overcome this most dangerous problem. So that as a result our nation can be
brought back to the road of progress in all fields of life.
The first and foremost things are the unity and commitment. Parliamentarian can play a very
constructive role in this regard. Religious leaders in any society can play an effective role in
times of crises. Education is another very important way to eradicate the root causes of terrorism.
Good governance is another area which needed more attention in this regard. Also there is an
urgent need for the military to come forward and state explicitly the present situation regarding
war on terror to all citizens of the country. This strategy will clear the minds of people. Because
Pakistan is the most affected country in the world in war against terrorism.
The role of parents and teachers can’t be denied in times of crises. Because they are the main
architects o f nations. All these major efforts must be initiated at the same time and must be
communicated to all citizens through electronic and print media.

but the individual can play an effective role in this matter
so this thing I keep mind after watching the news of Peshawar attack on Army public school
as everyone know that it is very bad news for us. So that's why I think to do something for save
our child in future.
in these days our respected sir mohsin give us a project of new product development. Then
suddenly an idea came into my mind to save our child in future. My idea is totally about the
security. My idea about the new product development to modify or to add the future in to the
mobile phone. Mobile phone is in these days is a basic or major need of every one. I think so
everyone have a personal cell phone.
So that's why I select cell phone to use the security of every by add the software into cell phone
to detect the gunpowder.
Advantage of this cellphone
it can detect the gunpowder.
The gunpowder around it 100 meters it can be detected.
It needs no wifi or any types of internet connection.
It gives alarm when does it detect the gunpowder.

It give the alarm when does it detect the gunpowder and increased into the voice until unless we
stop it.
This voice is increased due to come near it.
I suggested the name for this cell phone is pk cell phone.
I suggested this name due to Pakistan have more security problems in all over the world.
Pk stands for Pakistan.
Application of the steps of new product development
Idea Generation
The development of a product will start with the concept. The rest of the process will ensure that
ideas are tested for their viability, so in the beginning all ideas are good ideas (To a certain
extent!
as my idea I about the gunpowder detection is due to the security and also the attack on peshawar
school
Idea Screening
This step is crucial to ensure that unsuitable ideas, for whatever reason, are rejected as soon as
possible. Ideas need to be considered objectively, ideally by a group or committee
as I have two other ideas 1st is wireless add into the cell phone and recording watch
but I select this idea due to I think that's a good for my nation.

ConceptDevelopment & Testing:
You have an idea and it’s passed the screening stage. However, internal opinion isn’t the most
important. You need to ask the people that matter – your customers.
As my customer will be everyone so I tell his ideas to my friend Hassan and other they
appreciate me about my project and they give me goods suggestion about it.
Marketing strategy:
Marketing strategy has 4ps there are right product at right place into rite price and rate
promotion.
as my product is detecting cell phone so I think so it is right product(detecting cell phone ) at
right place (Pakistan) into right price(4000 RS) and I will give it promotion(by advertising)
Business Analysis:
it enclosed the SWOT analysis and the internal analysis(resources)
so after SWOT analysis I think so that my product have no thread and weakness it will make
straight and it have opportunity that I will be use for everyone in his whole life
internal analysis is that it is easy to make for anyone a professional expert.
Product Development
If the new product is approved, it will be passed to the technical and marketing development
stage. This is when a prototype or a limited production model will be created. This means you
can investigate exact design & specifications and any manufacturing methods, but also gives
something tangible for consumer testing, for feedback on specifics like look, feel and packaging
for example.

MarketTest:
Test marketing (or market testing) is different to concept or consumer testing, in that it
introduces the prototype product following the proposed marketing plan as whole rather than
individual elements.
I have tested my product to my friend and they give good responded to me.
Commercialization:
When the concept has been developed and tested, final decisions need to be made to move the
product to its launch into the market. Pricing and marketing plans need to be finalized and the
sales teams and distribution briefed, so that the product and company is ready for the final stage.
So finally I decided to launch it.
But my target market must be Peshawar then Pakistan and after this the all over the world.
I will make the same distributor and I will make the it advertising in every market
