To fit in or get relief from stress and deepration, teenagers abuse drugs. They often find drugs to be a solution to all these things. Consequently, they are drowned into the depth of darkness.

2. INTRODUCTION
Recent years, drug consumption in Bangladesh has increased rapidly.
The recent data suggested that most of the young people between the
ages of 18 and 30 are addicted to drugs.
These drug consumption rates are high among the students especially
teenagers. Often, this involves experimenting and testing their
boundaries. To fit in or get relief from stress and deepration, teenagers
abuse drugs.They often find drugs to be a solution to all these things.
Consequently, they are drowned into the depth of darkness.

3. Risk factors are circumstances or events that influences one to use and abuse
drugs. The more risk factors present, the more likely they may be to use drugs and
develop problems.
 Socializing with friends, peer pressure or the
need to feel part of a group
 To seem grown up
 Curiosity, experimentation or wanting to take
risks
 Low grades or failure in school
 Victim of bullying or cyber bullying
 To escape from psychological or physiological
pain.
 Belief that there is little risk in using a drug.
 Low self esteem

4. REASONS
 Permissive parenting
 Parent or older sibling drug/alcohol use
 Living in a community with a high tolerance for smoking, drinking, or
drug use among youth
 Attending a school without strict rules for tobacco, alcohol, or drugs
and inconsistent enforcement for breaking those rules
A number of other reasons include poverty, easy access to drugs, rejection
in love, and mental stress due to family problems.

5. WHY DRUGS?
People commonly fall for drugs because they want to mask particular
emotions that they are going through.The abuse makes them feel good
and forget about the problem at hand. Eventually they think “DRUGS” is
the only solution for them.

A report conducted in California
shows that- the one who tried to
solve his problems with drugs has
ended up with deeper problems.
Problems which includes-
Emotional problems, Behavioral
problems, Brain damage etc.
So, Drugs can
never be a
solution.
